Kendall Maurer, LCMHCA
Kendall (she/her) believes in the value of being seen and authentically connected. For some, this may mean having a broad network of friends and family who are a regular part of one’s daily life. And for others, it may be a furry companion (or two) and a few trusted confidants. Whatever it looks like, she is here to support and strengthen. Kendall believes that a “one-size-fits-all” approach works for few things in this world, and is passionate about working with clients to help them discover their “just right” life.
Kendall specializes in working with neurodiverse adolescents, teens and adults to navigate life’s challenges, develop meaningful connections, and use our natural strengths to create happiness. Her experience includes working with ADHD and/or autistic clients, as well as individuals with sensory processing disorders. Kendall understands the unique struggles and strengths of neurodivergent clients and tailors her approaches accordingly, focusing on their connections, strengths, and skills, among other areas. Kendall believes that being 'neurospicy' is an authentic part of one's experience and self-expression and that, with the right tools, it doesn't have to be debilitating. She works with clients to navigate interpersonal dynamics, work/school demands and challenging emotions in a way that is validating, effective and authentic.
In therapy, Kendall combines person-centered, Gestalt, and reality therapy to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space for clients to express themselves. She believes in the power of warmth, empathy, and genuineness to foster growth and self-improvement. Kendall has completed the ADHD Clinical Services Provider certification course and, in addition to individual psychotherapy, also provides ADHD coaching. She's dedicated to helping clients of all ages along their personal journeys of self-exploration and growth. In her free time, Kendall enjoys quality moments with her partner, family, and friends. She's a cat enthusiast and a bit of a coffee connoisseur. Her love of legos and board games can always put even the most apprehensive clients at ease.
