Katie Heath, LCMHCA
Katie (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate in North Carolina and is also a National Certified Counselor. She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor’s in English in 2005 and with a MA in Clinical Mental Health in 2025. She treats issues including grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, phobias, hoarding, weight and eating issues, trauma, sexuality, and gender identity. Katie also enjoys working with clients as they navigate midlife challenges, blended families, divorce, career changes, and neurodiversity that includes autism and ADHD.
Katie’s clinical experience and emphases include working with couples and families to help navigate relationship and interpersonal conflicts, as well as individuals 12 and older. In addition to couples, families, and individuals, Katie holds group therapy sessions quarterly.
Her approach with clients is tailored to meet the clients’ needs with therapy modalities including narrative, schema, art, and psychodynamic therapies. She integrates CBT and DBT where appropriate, focusing on honoring feelings, obstructing harmful thought patterns, and learning new approaches to perceived and actual problems. Through empathy and guidance, Katie helps clients to be heard, understood, and fostered in their goals for changes in their lives.
